The South African Rugby Legends Association (SARLA)

The South Africa Rugby Legends Assocation (SARLA) is a group of ex national & provincila rugby players
who give back to the game of rugby through grassroots development by assisiting ex professional rugby players.

SARLA's flagyship development programme is their VUKA Rugby Programme in the Western Cape which sees 65
schools playing rugby on a weekly basis in the U19 leagues across the Cape Flats. The programme also involves
coaching the coaches, Bok Smart Courses and the training of referees.
The programme is a joint partnership between SARLA, the Department of Sport and Recreation, the WP Rugby
Football Union and endorsed by the South Africa Rugby Union.

Budget are proud to sponsor SARLA as we believe the work they do at grass roots level and school rugby ia a
wonderful opportunity to grow the children of disadvantaged areas.
